| ![]() One of mine is allergic to chicken (we think). Right now I am feeding Evanger's Pheasant and Brown Rice. The kibble is small and they seem to like it. All itching, flaking and stinky poop went away. I was looking to find another chicken-free kibble for them to add a little variety to their diet. I wanted to try Nature's Variety Rabbit. But it is grain-free and I've heard you shouldn't mix the two - go with one or the other. I think I am going to look into Natural Balance - they have several varieties of chicken-free kibble. Too bad I can't feed fish - Nick absolutley HATES it. The hunt for perfect food is so exhausting... |

| ![]() I just looked at Natural Balance - good variety but only two formulas come in small bites: Duck and Potato and Ultra Premium (which contains chicken). I contacted Nature's Variety and they offer samples at their retail locations. They have lots of chicken-free varieties. Plus, they said once your pup is on their brand, you should be able to switch between formulas without transitioning. I think I might go pick up some samples. This is a high-used brand by many yorkie owners here on YT. If you don't have a retailer near you, they might be willing to mail you some samples. I know k9cuisine.com has some samples but not sure if they carry this brand. You might want to check - then you would only have to pay shipping. |
