| ![]() Hi y'all, My little Yorkie had heartworm recently and I was freaking out because I'm in no position (financially) to be taking him to the vet often. Someone tipped me about HeartGard and it worked like a miracle!!! Thank you so much. If anyone has a pup in need of heartguard, you can get it here: Heartgard Pet Medications Hopefully none of you have to. Anyways, I'm happy to report the little one is back to great health. ![]() |

| ![]() Heartguard is for the prevention of heartworms...Once a dog has heartworms you need other medication...so I am confused. Did a vet tell you that your little one had heartworms or did he say it needs to be on heartworm med for the prevention and someone told you, you could order it cheaper somewhere else than at the vets?

| ![]() Did your Yorkie have clinical symptoms? In severe cases, a certain injected medication (arsenic compound) needs to be used. Sometimes the slow kill method with Ivermectin will work.
