Itchy! My puppy keeps itching like crazy. I think it might be dry skin because it's cold in NY, the heat is turned up high, and my skin is dry too. But what do I do to help him? Is there any product you can recommend for dry skin? I feel so bad for him.

He's 8 months & only itching the last 2 weeks, after coming back from Doggie Day care. We had him get an exit bath & he was just groomed the week before, so I thought it might have been from drying out his skin. He's itching his paws with his mouth, and using his back legs to scratch his body. He's taking Revolution, so I know it's not fleas.

If you think it is just because of the weather- you can use benedryl to take the edge off. Layla is 6 lbs and I give her 1/4 of a regular strength adult pill. But this will only take away the itching- and if it is in fact from something else- you won't be able to find out. what food is he eating?

Blue Buffalo for puppies. I'm pretty sure it's just a combination of the weather & too many baths. My skin is super dry too - our heating system has very dry air.

The only other thing i was thinking is that if his food has chicken in it- he could be developing an allergy. but keep an eye on it | |

Thanks. I'll have to check. I think it may be the chicken flavored one.
