| Chews? Hi, I was wondering what everyone uses for chews? Like bones and such? I am afraid to give my puppy anything Ive heard bad things about greenies and dingo bones, i think pig ears make dogs mean and aren't very healthy. He is getting sick of me giving him his nylon bone, I even stick it in his treat canister - big whoop he barks at me Also got him a chilly bone, that you stick in the freezer after soaking it in water (was also going to try chicken broth). He loves his lamb, hes on wellness puppy and canned lamb & sweet potato. Any healthy chews? I don't mind watching him when he chews it to make sure he doesn't swallow a big piece... always a fear.

| I give Reesie bully sticks I get them from AMD here on YT. He loves them. Her website is westbrookdog.com. Here is a link to her website: Westbrook Dog- Pet & Show Dog I also just ordered some Heimalayan chews from Ryan here on YT. They are suppose to last longer than bully sticks. Here is a link to his thread on the chews: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...dog-chews.html The bully sticks are better for them than a bone because it is made out of bull tendon and they can digest them. The Heimalayan chews are made out of yaks and cows milk. It is actually an extremely hard cheese. Ryan said that the dogs have to work on the end of the bone for hours to soften it. I have not tried them yet, but as I said, I did just order some, so we will see. Hope this helps.

| You use both? We have not gotten the chews yet. Would you say that the chews last longer than the bully stick or about the same? Reesie can go through a 9 in bully in about 45 min!

| I am curious about this too. I use a nylabone, but throw them away whenever they start to show wear. This may be 1 or 2 a month. My dad brought Maddie a pig ear (eeew) as a sweet gesture. I didn't want to hurt his feelings, taking over a "dog" is just not my dad and he was so excited about his gift. Anyway, Cooper took it and it was gone by the time my dad left, a couple of hours. I don't think Bully's or Heimalayan chews would last either. |

| Also use both bully sticks and Himalayan chews. Those are the only things he really chews & enjoys. Anything else I give him he just walks around the house with it crying trying to find a place to bury it, LOL, so I feel anything else bought is a waste of $$$$.

| We have Bully Sticks, Himalayan Dog Chews, and Antlers here. The bully sticks are the favorite, while the antlers don't hardly get touched. The Himalayan chews get gnawed on from time to time. Last edited by AMD; 02-10-2010 at 10:13 PM. Reason: spelling :p |

| Thanks everyone for your help! I have found the bully sticks in my local petco, so I didn't have to wait for an online order with delivery and all. We will see how Jack likes them. Ive also seen sweet potato chews, so may try them as well. I am unable to find the himalayan in stores near me though =( Im sure anything will help - Im trying to convince my mom to switch her dogs form the dingo bones (shes stubborn though...)
