| Wellness Small Breed Super 5 Mix - HELP I am thinking of switching Jeannie's food to Wellness Small Breed Super 5 Mix; she has a very sensitive tummy and some allergies (not sure to what the vet just said she had allergies). Those of you who have your babies on this food can you share your experiences? I'm afraid of switching her and having her get diarhea. In the past she's experienced mucusy diarhea even with blood and has had to be put on metronidazole. She is now taking probiotics thanks to Deb and this has helped her tremendously. I would grately appreciate you can provide! She's currently on Prescription i/d. |

| Some here feed Wellness Small Breed with no problems. Max does not have any health issues or food allergies and I had to stop feeding him it because he got terrible eye guck and loose stools all the time. It did not work for him. It was to rich in something. If your pup has allergies and a sensitive tummy... a food like Natural Balance Duck & Potato or another of the Natural Balance Limited Ingredient Diet foods might be worth a try.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I tried it with Max, both Wellness and NB and he did not like it. Just remember to transition very slow, a sodden change can upset their very sensitive stomach and its when they get diarrhea. It took me over a moth to change from one food to the other

| I used Wellness for a while. I really liked it and had no issues with Barney. He always had good puppy breath when he ate the super5. However, I did always do at least 50% home cooked. We discontinued Wellness and have been using Merrick for almost a year but we have already switched back to 100% home cooked this week. I liked Wellness when I used it but no longer am interested in their brand.

| Maybe while your changing over add some yogurt to help with any upset stomachs (but that might make her a pickier eater lol). Good luck. |

| Thank you all. Everything was going fine until I took her to get groomed. I was going to do it myself then, thought it would be easier to maintain after the groomer had done the puppy cut the first time. Well, yesterday Jeannie started throwing up, shaking, frothing, listless etc etc, I called a friend that has 4 yorkies and she said her sugar was probably too low due to the stress of getting groomed. Sure enough, I gave her Nutri-Cal and she started feeling better. Everything was fine overnight and this morning as well....then, around 2 or 3pm today, she threw up everything she had eaten, started shaking, I gave her more nutri cal, she has like alittle colitis and now she had a rash/hive. I don't know if that it a reaction to something they may have bathed her with. Please pray that my Jeannie gets better soon! I'm so depressed seeing her moping around the house when she always has so much energy. Thank you Anne |
