Help with Abby's eye Abby's left eye is red, puffy and she flinches when I try to touch it. This morning when I cleaned it with a warm washcloth it had a green-ish goo in it, kind of like a human with a cold. Anyone know what might be wrong with her and have any suggestions for at home treatments? Thanks so much.

It could be any number of things...I would say a vet visit is in order. She is going to need to have her eye checked to make sure there is no injury...it could just be a cold that you could treat at home but you won't know if it's anything more unless you take her to the vet.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Sounds like conjunctivitis which needs antibiotic cream or drops to cure. There isn't a home remedy. She could've also possibly scratch her eye. She needs to be seen by a vet

You are more than welcome! Funny, and eye problem with Maddie is how I found YT too! You will LOVE it here if you decide to stick around. However, it does become addictive.

Quick "Abby" Update Abby is doing fine. She has an abcessed tooth which has caused an infection. She is with the vet today getting a good dental cleaning and he will lance whatever infection is in her mouth as well as drain any puss/infection out of her cheek and tear ducts. (poor baby) They will possibly have to remove the tooth if it's abcessed. I'll have her back by 4. I'll let you know how she is after the vet brings her back home. Thanks again to everyone for your help. Pretty sure I'll be a YT regular from this point on! At some point this weekend (inbetween Mardi Gras parades and SuperBowl celebrations) I'll post an introduction to myself and my yorkies. Geaux Saints! Who Dat! Best, Brandi
