| ![]() So glad to see you on the Yahoo Group! Did you see Olga's response, she really is very good! I'm sorry that your dog has gone undiagnosed for this long. How do the vets know that he doesn't have MVD? Normal regular bloodwork combined with elevated bile acids is associated with MVD. A post BAT of almost 100 is a moderately severe elevation . Foods high in purines - especially liver and yeast (but all meat is higher in purines than vegetarian or dairy) are precursors to uric acid build up. Uric acid buildup results in excess ammonium in their systems, which forms ammonium urate bladder/kidney stones. Many of my foster dogs have had their crystals dissolved with the proper liver support: RC Hepatic LS 14 is the recommended food, with distilled water added 4 small meals a day Supplements- Hepatosupport liquid, VetriDMg liquid (HomeVetŠ Natural Pet Care) and Azodyl as the probiotic which normalizes the urea cycle |
