| Carol, thanks for sharing your experience. You give beef bones, right? Have you ever had a problem with Buddy chewing/breaking pieces of these off? My Cooper is a pretty aggressive chewer, that is why I was buying the nylabones for agressive chewers. Last edited by MaddiesMommie; 02-01-2010 at 11:15 AM. |

That's what I was doing. I had every color they made. I now by small beef bones in my pet store. I do watch them daily since I hold them while he chews. He's been chewing on these now for about 4 yrs. They are in bins in Petsmart. It's not always easy to find the small ones. They come indivually wrapped. At times when I can't get one I will buy one with some sort of yukky stuffing in it and remove it before I give it to Buddy. You can smear peanut butter in them, stick a piece of cheese in it too to keep them busy while you leave the house. He has never chewed off a piece but has but dents around the outer edges. That's all he chews now, thank heavens for them or I don't know what I would do. He just loves chewing to my delight because he keeps those teeth clean too. He has several and I replace as I see the dents getting deeper. Just look for one that will fit your baby's mouth. They are safe and already cleaned. You can also wash them in the sink from time to time. | |

Same here. I've never given Sophie bully sticks. My issue with the bully sticks is what they're made of and the fact Sophie likes to kiss me around my mouth, but that's just me, lol ![]()

| I am just afraid she will swallow it whole. I don't think her owners would appreciate me...not to mention I like her and dont want to hurt her. I really would like to see if she could take a bite out of it, though. It just seems so indestructible.

| Levi loved the "blue Bone" with the nubies from nylabone, however he eats the entire thing. My thought is plastic shavings are not healthy, so I give him a bully stick for his morning chewing routine. |

| thanks, everyone, they are now a thing of the past (they were the 3 pack ones with the blue, brown and clear just like described in an earlier post). i lost this thread, it moved a little bit after I posted, thank goodness I found the notification in my email or I wouldn't have read all of this. do posts get sorted frequently? i had no idea where it went. i posted it in general discussion. thanks again everyone for the information, all of it, and ew I googled the bully sticks to find out what they were and I was much happier not knowing!!! i am so thankful everyday that I found this forum. thank you so much for the info

| Good to know! I purchased Jack a pack of Flexi Chew Nylabone's today and he couldn't get enough of it yet after hearing others speak about the potential harm they may cause I will defiantly be taking the Nylabone away.

| I give my 4 month old the small plastic chicken flavoured Nylabone. She doesn't like it much. What are bully sticks made out of? I bought her one, and she loves it. I also give her dried beef tendon-- is that ok? |

Nylabone makes hard ones....they are not the FlexiChew ones...I use them and have no problems. They are marked Durable on the package. The flexible ones are scary...they can bite chunks off of them.

| I have to laugh. A month you say. We're lucky if we get three days with the Durable Nylabone for powerful chewers. He loves the chocolate flavored one the most. After two-three days MAX in the garbage it goes.
