| It may be an infection (like yeast) and maybe not mites. She really should see the vet for a diagnosis...

| I am not sure but if not treated your dog could go deaf...Since she is pregnant this would be a good time for the vet to check her over....and fix her ears...also if not treated she could pass it on to the puppies ...now you have even more expenses.

| Yes he said she had earmites, gave me some medicine-the problem is.. when i looked it up it said do not give to pregnant and nursing females. I would like to use a natural (made at home remedy) if there is one. I guess I could go with what he said as he is the vet, but I'm just a little bit concerned you know what I mean? |

| I would call the vet back and tell them what they have done and see what they have to say. Were they aware your girl was pj? I will tell you a number of years ago I tried some over the counter stuff and it didn't work... What is the name of the med? and can you provide any links to what you found?

| I don't have any experience with this stuff, but you might give it a try: Best Yet Biting Insect Spray for People, Pets, & Premise - Luke's All Natural Pet Food It claims "A application into the ear canal with a subsequent external ear massage will destroy any ear mites or chronic fungal organism issues the animal has in that part of its body."
