Hello I have not been on here in awhile great to be back on. My yorkie is 10mos and she still has not had her first period. does anyone know why. could something be wrong with her?

Many yorkies don't get their first heat until almost a year old and I've heard of a couple that were close to 13 months old. Ruby's first heat was at 11 months and then I had her spayed at 13 months. I doubt seriously if there is anything wrong with your yorkie and she'll probably start her heat soon.

I don't remember exactly how old she was, but I do remember that Sophie was over a year old before she had her first heat.

Thank you for your help. this lady I was talking to in petco works there and has a yorkie, told me I should get her check something is wrong but, you guys help me feel lot better.
