| I can sympathize with you. My little Jada is a little piggy too. Do you free feed? If you do you may want to change to scheduled feeding. I did a lot of research on YT for controlling weight gain and the best for us was to cut down on the kibble to the lowest amt recommended for the weight your dog should be and then we add green beans, sugar snap peas as they are very filling and low in calories. I buy the frozen because they have no sodium and Jada loves them. She only gets veggies for treats too. I say she takes after her mommy (me) in she can gain weight just smelling food!!!LOL

| How old is he? If he's a pup, i.e., less than 1 year old, it's normal growth that you are seeing. Feed him the amount shown on the dog food package. If you give treats, give small pieces. However, 5 pounds is a nice size for an adult Yorkie.

| Exercise and limiting food intake are the main things you can do to control weight gain.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | You might need to change the food he's on. Maybe the one he's on is not satisfying him. There's a lot of help in the Health & Diet section of YT.
