| URGENT!! Duncan has fleas again!!! It's winter!! How did dogs get fleas all the time? I didnt have this problem before... Even though I do agree it was dirtier in the city I lived. Shall I shave off Duncan's hair? Plus it seems frontline didnt work that great on Duncan last summer I'm soooooo upset..

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Sorry to hear about the fleas. You may have to get some treatments for your house and treat Duncan again. I hate fleas!

| uuuuugh! sorrry to hear that. we went through fleas this past summer and it was a nightmare. maybe they are in your home. carpets? furniture? bedding? you may need to do aggressive de-flea work on the house...... also, is the pup in your car? do you have cloth seats? make sure you don't forget to address the car. we have leather seats, however i put borax all over our floor mats, and carpeting, let it set for several hours and vacuumed them thoroughly. | You'll probably have to use a topical treatment to kill the adult fleas, and then a pharmaceutical treatment to prevent re-infestation. Rio takes Sentinel once a month for heartworm prevention, and it also prevents fleas from being able to reproduce (or something like that..). |

| UGH! Here in CT its been bitter cold for weeks, and I've got 1 (out of 4!) with fleas STILL! Found a flea on her last nite. This summer was the first time we have ever had fleas, they are only on the deck. So, I've never used flea preventative. Flea shampoos aren't working, I have leather furniture and hardwood flooring. The only place I can think mine are getting it is in the bedroom carpet? I think I'll try the borax suggestion. Keep us posted how you make out... |

| We got Sentinel from our veterinarian. The one Rio takes is specifically dosed for 2-10 lb. dogs. |
