| Need help learning about heat question Not sure if I posting in the right place. If so sorry. A couple of months ago I thought Daisy was in heat. She must not of been because she is in heat now. She is 1 yr. old and weighs 2.8pds. My question is how swelled will she be. It it 3 times the normal size. Is this normal? My vet wanted me to wait to have her spay to see if she will gain more weight. She says now since she has had her first heat to spay her before she has another one. I plan on having it done in April. I also have 2 male yorkies that have been fixed. The vet said they would not be interested in her. Boy, was she wrong

| You wouldn't want your boy dogs poking at her and her getting angry and snapping at them, possibly hurting one of them.......

| I went to Walmart to get doggy diapers. It got the smallest one they had xs. They are too big for her I have been on vacation for 2 wks. Start back to work tomorrow. How long will she be in heat to where the boys are interested any more. I don't want to separate them. They will tear the house down and I don't want to keep her in a crate all day. I just hope all goes well.

| It is swelled and she has been bleeding about a week. I have 2 boys and they are fixed. You are right about the female. She has been prancing around in front of them. She will walk underneath them and lay down on her belly. Little hussy.Rosco will do his strut and shuffle and Bo will sniff and grab her ears, but he is not as bad as Rosco. She hops around like a bunny not letting them get too close.

| You really DO want to keep them seperated. Even a neutered dog can have a tie with an unspayed female. You sure don't want to have that happen when you aren't home as one or both could be badlt hurt. |

| That is what I am worried about. My daughter will be home tomorrow to keep an eye on them. She goes back to school Tues. I will try to figure something out. No matter what room I put her in and close the door they will chew the carpet up to be together. They have never been separated. If I have to I will put her in the crate

| If diapers are too big for her, if nothing else put belly bands or some type of clothing on the boys so they can't "get busy" when no one is there. |

| They all have sweaters on,but it doesn't cover their private. It is cold here tonight 12 degrees. I don't have a belly band. The sweaters on them do make it more of a challenge.
