| Daisy's spay Daisy will be coming home at 5 today from her spay. How do you keep them from licking the wound at night without using a cone thing? |

| she probably will be okay tonight. You can try putting a premie onesize on her. You will need to put it on her backwards so her tail sticks out of the panty part that snaps. When I did this with Maggie May, she peed right thru the onesize before I could grab her,lol I hope your little one recovers quickly. I know that her spay was today but you can check out my soft collars by clicking the link in my signature. They are so much easier on our babies that though plastic thingys.

| The only concern with using the onesize is possbily having it run on the incision. Just try not to make it to tight on her. If you see that she is tugging at the onesize, you may want to take it off for awhile so the area can get some air as well as calm down if it is irritated. You'll just really have to keep an eye on her and the onesize. Good luck. How is Daisy doing tonight?

| I put a Doggie T Shirt on my Daisy after her spay. She never tried to lick, but just in case. Hope you baby is doing okay. They usually heal very quickly.

| Daisy is home and doing well. She has licked at her wound a few times but I've been able to catch her. The vet recommended a onesie, too. So, I'll probably put that on her tonight. I can't believe how well she is doing. This is the first time I've had a dog to the fixed and I was expecting her to be out of it all night but she has been her usual self - just a little bit sluggish. Anyway, thanks for the support. I think I'm going to look into the soft collars for Nick's neuter. |
