| Spay two at same time???? I am planning to have both my girls spayed SOON. I am thinking about having them done on the same day. My reasoning is Cooper is so hyper and tends to play rough with Maddie. I am afraid she will aggravate Maddie during her recovery. Also, I plan to take off work so I would only have to take off three days, instead of six. Am I crazy for considering this? Whatcha all think? |

| I had my boys neutered together and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I had the same worry about being hyper with Doodlebug. He was only 5 months old and Bogey was over a year. At first I thought it would be hard to have 2 not feeling well but then I changed my mind and did them together. I say go for it!

| I had Tiki and Meika spayed on the same day, for the same reasons you state. It turned out great, and I think there was less potential for problems at home because they were both in the same boat and maybe more sympathetic of each other. At least it kept their energy levels compatible. Good idea, and good luck!

| I had Chelsea spayed and Murphy neutered on the same day for the pretty much the same reasons as you. It worked out great for us. In fact, I'm planning to have Tate & Maddox neutered on the same day soon, too.

| I think that it would be easier if you had both of them done at the same time. This way they will have the same down time and neither will want to jump on the other while they are trying to recuperate. Best of luck.

| Great idea! A spay is a bigger deal than a nueter. You're doing them a great (it's all about them, isn't it?) service by doing so. Kudos to you! |

| I'm glad you posted this. I was debating on what to do myself with my two girls. I had already scheduled their spay on the same day and was second guessing. Now I think its best for them to go through it during the same time. I'm thinking of keeping them in seperate crates for a couple of days so that they were forced to relax and recover. Because the have each other they tend to run wild when their together. the last think i want to worry about is one of them popping their stiches!

| You may be surprised with how they are stitched. For example, if they do a job like my vet does your girls will be out of those crates the day after the spay. I've never had any come undone by licking or any other method. If they sew, glue or staple, they seal it secure when they do it right. Terriers & toys these are pretty much oxy moran, aren't they lol? You're girls will do fine. I don't think it's good to put them in one crate. They will want to clean each other, don't you think? |

| That is what I was thinking. Maddie, esp., is alway mommying Cooper and licking all her boo-boos. I plan on keeping them seperate for a few days. Last edited by MaddiesMommie; 12-30-2009 at 07:00 AM. |

| You will be very happy with the collars. I ordered two for my yorkies. The collars look great and are very well made.
