YT Addict | ![]() I've been apprenticing as a pet groomer for a few weeks now. We honestly don't do anything to avoid it, because not a lot actually gets in there. But as Mardelin said there are ear cleaning solutions that have drying agents, I'm pretty sure the one we use is like that. I don't know the name of it as they pour it into spill-proof bottles. We use R-7 powder to pull the hair out of the ears and then use a q-tip or cotton ball (depending on the size of the ear) and clean them out. Then in the bath they go. Most times it's not a big deal UNLESS your dog is prone to infections etc. But using a cotton ball in the ear when bathing is never a bad idea.
