| How long can your yorkie hold it? Hi all... Can you please let me know a few things. 1) How old is your yorkie? 2) How much does he/she weigh? 3) How long can he/she hold their pee? Snick is 1.5 yrs old, 3.5lbs, and can hold it about 6 hours during the day and about 9-10 hours over night. I am asking b/c for the longest time Snick could not hold his pee for more than 3 hours during the day. My hubby came home for lunch so it worked out but now that he is older, he can hold it MUCH longer. I'm planning on getting a new pup in June and want to make sure he is not too small like Snick was b/c it's really hard to go anywhere when they need to pee so often. Thanks... Snick & Viv

| I work full time so Buddy holds it from 8:15am until 5:45pm. That's 9 1/2 hrs during the day. On weekends when we sleep in he goes from 10:00 pm until 8 or 8:30. That's 10 1/2 hrs. I honestly never have gone more so who knows. I worry he might be uncomfortable so I never pushed it farther. He's almost six and weighs 16lbs. He's been like this since 6mos. |

| 'Mornin Viv!...Apple is 13 months old, and weighs 5 lbs. She makes it MAX 6 1/2 hrs. in the daytime, while I'm at work (I come home and let her out, after about 5 or 6 hrs.)...Buzz is 4 months 3 weeks, but he weighs a little over 4 lbs. and he's making it the same as Apple (go figure)...Apple can go about 8 hrs. at night, but I notice Buzz goes on his pee pee pad, sometime during the night...He's still gated in the part of the kitchen, 'till he's a little older;Apple is on the loose in the den/dining room/part of the kitchen/entry hall...What is tripping me, totally, out, is Buzz is pee pad trained (Apple never would go on pads) And Apple is outdoor trained...I'm pretty anal, having to deal w/this difference...I would prefer they both go the same way lol...But that's my problem, not the pups lol.... p.s...hope your little snicker doodle is having a good day...Are you on the hunt for his sister, yet, and have you started practicing for when it's time to get pregnant lololol.... |

| Remy is 15 months, 5.5 lbs Overnight he can go 8-9 hours. He goes out the last time between 9:30 and 10:30, depending on my schedule and he is up ready to go like clock work at 6:30. He has actually been like this since he was 6 mos. Only difference is up until 1 year he used a pee pad first thing in the AM, now we go outside. During the day, he waited 9 hours once. Interestingly, it was his own choice. We went to the U2 concert in DC - I left him at my office around 5pm. I knew it would be a long night so I gave my girlfriend (who Remy knows) my keys and she stopped by to take him out around 10. However, she brought her boyfriend with her and he did not know him.... Remy would not let them come near him. She finally had her boyfriend leave and got him outside, but he would not go. By the time we got back at 2am he reeeeally had to go, but did not have an accident He got special treats for that!!! Usually the longest I usually make him wait is 6 hours. He typically is out every 4 or so and if I lose track of time he lets me know |

| Jackson is about 13 months and 12.5lbs. Overnight, he goes from 10pm-9am usually so that's 11 hours. It all depends what time I have to get up in the AM, and if he drank a lot of water the night before, etc... sometimes he will wake me up earlier at like 7am if he never pooped the night before, or drank a lot of water, etc. During the day, the longest I'm gone is 6 hours and he always holds it. He could probably do longer.

But during the day I try not to go longer than 4 hours between walks. She doesn't really tell me when she has to go out other than in the morning. Oh and shes between 5 and 7 lbs I'm not exactly sure.

YT 2000 Club Member | Can you please let me know a few things. 1) How old is your yorkie? Tucker turned 1 at the end of september 2) How much does he/she weigh? 9/10 pounds 3) How long can he/she hold their pee? During the day he does out about every 2 hours, pees everytime. We take him out for his last pee before bed anywhere between 9/10pm and he needs to go asap by 6/630 am or he will pee in his kennel. I still have to be very consistant and watch him all the time during the day because if I dont see him pacing/sitting most of the time by the door, (but not always) he will have an accident. If hes got go, hes got a go, there is no holding it.. ... (he reminds me of that tv commercial, got go, got go right now..lol) My toy poodle on the other hand is between 4/5 pounds will hold it for hours and most of the time I make her go out.

| Uni is almost 3 yrs and a bit less than 6 lbs. At night, she will do her last pee at around 8 or 9 pm after her dinner. We won't go to sleep till about 12 or 1 am, and sometimes we don't get up till 10:30, heh heh. She will hold it till I get up and then she will go. She did go through an episode where she would wake me up at 3am to go, don't know why, we have not changed her schedule. In one day, she will only go pee about 3 times and poop twice. But if we are out for a walk, she can pee enough to fill a gallon jug, I don't know where she keeps it all! When she was a baby about 6 mos, we took her to vegas with us, a 4 hr drive. She held it the whole way. I tried to make her go, but she wouldn't. she was trained to go in a bathroom, and she would not do it outside.

| Maddie is 2 1/2 she weights 10-12 lbs. and she can hold it forever. She holds it all day while I am away at school from about 7:45-4:00ish. She usually goes out in the am, but not always! She will sleep as late I do on Saturday. LOL she is on the teacher schedule...no bathroom breaks! haha Cooper is about 7 months, weighs 8-10ish lbs. and she is a pee factory. She hasn't learned to hold it as long. The smell of urine is her signature fragrance! LOL Oh the puppy stage! |
