| 6 mth old Yorkie waking up, favouring back leg, any ideas, imput, would be helpful My female 6 month old Yorkie wakes up/gets up favouring her left back leg. She holds it up for about 3-5 min. Then she starts using it again. She gets around just fine using 3 legs, stairs and all. The patella (knee) doesn't feel any different from other, same goes for her hips. I don't know of any accident where she could have hurt herself. Does anyone have any ideas? It would be greatly appreciated. |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Yorkies are notorious for luxating patellas...the knee slips out of the joint. It is graded for severity and sometimes needs surgery to be corrected. OFA: Patellar Luxation

| Legg perthes disease usually shows up around this time as well.... if it keeps up, it's time for a vet visit to rule that out. Hope it's nothing serious.... Oh, here's a link that talks a little about it.... Legg-Perthes |
