| Skin problems Lexie is 5 years old and has developed skin issues over the last year. I assumed it was just seasonal allergies and she was treated with a cortizone shot and pills, which always seemed to work. However over the last 6 months or so nothing seems to be working. She is licking, stratching, biting and chewing constantly. This has led to some hair loss on her sides. She chews her paws and licks all the time and I just don't know what to do with her anymore. Her skin is red and irritated currently. She did have fleas from a trip to the mountains which has seemed to increase the problem, but we have done a flea treatment. I have heard a lot about skin issues lately with all dog breeds. Any suggestions on what the cause could be? The vet has not been able to diagnose anything. Thanks
