| Chews for sensitive stomach We have had a terrible time getting a food that doesnt give Hedley diarrhoea and have at last found that Chappie suits him. I have tried several premium dried foods and none suit. Anyway, this post isnt about his food really, its about what he chews. I think the rawhide chews are maybe adding to his bowel problems, but I recognise that as a pup he needs to chew. I would like to give him a chew that wont upset him. I have sent off for some dried duck breast chews (no cereal just duck breast) in the hope these will be good for him. I know some people recommend giving raw chicken wings but I just cant do this. For one thing, cooked chicken with rice gives him diarrhoea, but also it would be mad to give a dog who has an inflamed gut chicken bones. He has a nylabone and a gumabone but shows no interest in chewing them. He has lots of other toys, including a kong, but I have had to stop filling this with kibble as the kibble upsets his gut! Has anyone any safe chew suggestions? I dont mind getting bones but not chicken bones. Please note, we are in England and may not be able to get all US brands. |
