| At that age, she's probably not far from being fully grown. 5-7 is the breed standard so without seeing her, it sounds like she's right on. Is she in line with her line's size and weight? Normal health, active? Sounds fine if she's of normal build. Our little girl turns 1 yr. next week and is about to 6 lb's now too. In the last few months I doubt she's gained more than 1/2 lb. and she's like an atomic jumping bean! I didn't notice any difference after she was fixed either. Our male was full size and weight by then too....until he was fixed, then he gained quite a bit of weight which he needed; at least a little of it. He's in the 7 lb range now and we're controlling how much he eats more. I'd like to see him trim 1/2 lb or so. |

| Maggie is just over a year old and weighs 6 lbs. She is a good weight. I think she looks a bit chubby sometimes, but she really isn't. I wish Buster would gain weight. He is not 4 lbs., he's very small and very fragile. I don't let anybody but me and DH pick him up. He does not want to be picked up by anyone else. Maggie did not gain weight after she was spayed.
