YT Addict | Throwing up hair? I have seen bits and pieces of lil doggie vomits the past 2 weeks. Just 3 times, I think because of food transition. Her previous owner had her on puppy food (the dog is 7 YEARS old) so we are transitioning to adult food (when you mix the old and new together then slowly take away the old). So I figured she's vomitting from this, she seems fine all the time I've only witnessed her vomitting once. So the last 2 times I cleaned it up, it looks like there is hair in it. She has grey (or blue or whatever you call it) on her back, but I also have a grey cat so I don't know whos hair it is. I'm assuming its hers because my greys cat hairs are so fine you wouldnt really notice the color of it like that. So anyway, why would she be vomitting her own hair?? I never see her itching or pulling at her hairs ever.. So I don't know where it's coming from?

| I could be that when she grooms herself on the floor she is picking up stray hairs, while it may not be the source of the vomit it may just be in her system. Milo every once in a while will ingest one of my hairs that unfortunately come out the other end and let me tell you a hair poop with your dog is not fun. I would however make a Vet appt. just to rule out anything with the throwing up. |
