| Is raw spinach OK to eat? My Buster grabbed a fresh spinach leaf that fell to the floor when I was making dinner the other night and wolfed it down and wanted more! I looked up poisonous foods for dogs and did not see it listed. Is it ok for him to eat? He also loves carrots so much he would rather snack on them instead of a dog treat. Would it be ok to feed him spinach as a treat? |

| I give Apple several leaves of "organic" spinach everyday...if you don't use organic, then soak it in a little vinegar water for about 20 minutes to get off the pesticides...Spinach keeps Apple nice and regular , so don't give too much or your pup'ster will have loose stools.... |

| Spinach is wonderful for people and dogs, but here I would also say in moderation. Maybe once or twice a week. It's an antiicoagulant.

| Spinach is fine, but like everything else, not all dogs do well with it. It can cause GI upset in some, so start slowly.
