| Brushing teeth I was brushing Tucket's and Ozzy's teeth this morning (for the first time) and I know this probably sounds like a dumb question but is it ok for me to brush their teeth with the same brush? I have two so it's not a big deal for me to switch but it would be easier for me to go right from one to the other. |

| I've always wondered the same thing. I have 6 babies, and when I do....and that's a really big "when".......I use 1 brush. I've found lately that gauze wrapped around your finger seems to be much easier. I really do try to brush on a regular basis, but, those little monkies can put up such a fight! I consider myself lucky if I get my finger in long enough to get the toothpaste in their mouths. Little stinker!

| How many times should you brush their teeth? I notice some days Fergie has some really bad breath, and other days she doesn't. |

| You're supposed to brush once a day. I did a google search to learn HOW to brush their teeth and get them used to it but they didn't mention anything about using separate brushes. |

| Humans should never exchange toothbrushes because the bacteria that cause decay and the bacteria that cause gum disease(both are different) can literally be spread form person to person. So if it works the same on dogs, then if one of your babies is prone to decay because they have a lot of that bacteria naturally present in their mouths it would possibly spread to your other dogs. It would be a hassle but separating and labeling their brushes would be the most ideal.

| I figured as much. Both of them have really good looking teeth from what I can tell but I will err on the side of caution and use separate brushes. Thanks all! |
