Welcome. It could possibly be an allergic reaction to something. Maybe some type of cleaning solutions or anything.

| Are they small or large???? We just noticed on Bitsy a big scab where her hair has come out and then a few minutes ago a smaller one She was spayed last Friday but these are on her back and we can't figure out where or how it happened. Can you post a picture of what yours look like??? I'm taking Bitsy to the vet Monday so the doc can see

My daughters dog had a few around its mouth and on its stomic when she first got it. She took it to the vet and they told her to change its food bowl to a metal one instead of plastic and to wash its belly real good and they gave it a few pills . they was gone in a few days.

I forgot to say these looked just like pimples. and the vet said the plastic bowl was irratating her mouth and that the ones on stomic was from it being dirty.

It starts like bumps..then.... Yes. It starts like bumps then it has turned into puss pockets. Yitzee had one on her belly about 3 weeks ago and it scabbed over and went away. Now she has like 7. I gave her a quarter of a childrens benydryl as prescribed by her doc. Keep your fingers crossed!! She has two other problems too. 1. When she is pooping, she has pure droplets of blood, but, NOT in the poop. She goes to vet on Monday but vet just thinks it is her first heat (7 months young a few days ago). But I have inspected her privates and find no dried blood on them. Any ideas? 2. Her adult canines are growing in behind her babies. Vet thinks that she will push out her babies in time and to ensure that we are brushing her teeth daily. This sound okay? I know I'm OVERPROTECTIVE. But, I've never been in love with a dog as much as when Yitzee came into my life!

Do you have fire ants there? It sounds like what happens when they bite.

No Fire Ants/No Photo Sorry. No fire ants as far as I know and I have lived here for 4 years. Also, I'm NOT good at photos and cannot get one to fit. Sorry because you would all fall in love! She is still as rambunctious (sp?) as always so I may give her a simple water bath to see if it soothes her belly. She is NOT scratching and doesn't seem to be itching.

Yitzee Update Yitzee woke up this am as excited as always!! She ate all of her breakfast as quickly as possible!! After she ate, I checked her belly. The redness is gone (so possibly the allergic reaction if that's what it was was taken care of). However, the blisters/puss pockets had matured. There are about 4 blisters. They are pretty big for a little girl her size (she's only 2.75 lbs.). Her doc appt is tomorrow. I've been wondering about fleas too. We've had one flea problem before and we got the pills. I will give her another pill today and we also will start her on Program (monthly flea pill prevention)as we have been waiting to give that with her heartworm preventative. Wish us luck!!

This sounds like a staff infection. A good vet should be able to tell you for sure. Chewy gets these sometimes and we have to give him antibiotics to clear it up.
