| the "IT" food As someone newer to yorkies, I wondered if there was an "IT" food. For example, as some of you know I have show great danes, and the "IT" food for Great Danes is Eagle Pack Large and Giant Breed Puppy or Adult. While, of course, there are people who don't feed this to their danes, it is what a large amount choose. Is there a food like this in the yorkie world? or foods that are exceptional for certain reasons?

| There's a lot of people here on YT that feed Wellness, Royal Canin, Merrick's, Nature's Variety, just to name a few. I'm not sure if there's necessarily an "IT" food but there was a poll created earlier this year I believe where people voted on what they fed. I think there was a lot of Royal Canin and Wellness.

| Eagle brand hollistic is one of Lacis favorite foods, since you already use Eagle brand why not stick with it... they have small bites which honestly are so perfect... tiny and easy to chew!

YT 2000 Club Member | it took me forever to find the "IT" food for my dogs. We are currently on Merricks and will stay on Merricks. It took along time to find a premuim food that ALL of my dogs will eat willingly, stay interested in, and do well on. I think that is the key to any dog food.. once you find something that your dog will eat and do well on. Stick with it!! If you have used eagle pack in the past and now that its a good quality food then why not stay with it..

| I feed all my crew Nature's Logic. I have Yorkies ranging from 3 to 12 pounds with activity levels that go from very active to a little lazy. They all thrive on the Nature's Logic. I also wean all my pups with it. Nature's Logic has a unique formula in that it is the ONLY food that doesn't use chemically synthesized vitamins and minerals. If you read the ingredient list, it's all food, along with healthy bacteria and digestive enzymes. Compare that with any other food and you will find that all other brands use added vitamins and minerals. What's troubling to me is that the primary source for these vitamin and mineral compounds is China and the fact that using added vitamins and minerals is an admission that the food values alone aren't good enough to meet AAFCO standards. Nature's Logic comes in 5 varieties (beef, chicken, lamb, venison and duck/salmon) so it's easy to rotate flavors to prevent boredom with the food. Also, you can get it in kibble, canned or raw. Here's a link to their website if you want more info... Nature's Logic

| Hello!! Welcome to YT!!! You're going to get MANY opinions on here as to what YT'ers think the IT food is!! We all love what works for our pups!! Many of us feed a raw diet, some feed premade frozen raw and some feed raw from their butcher. I feed a rotation diet which means I feed raw in the morning and kibble in the evening. To me, the IT kibble right now is ACANA or ORIJEN! It is such a GREAT quality food and awesome company! Some others YT'ers LOVE are: -Innova (by Natura pet foods-another good company) -Wellness -Nature's Variety -Merrick -Fromm Good Luck -Snick & Viv

| I thought the change in formula was a positive change (I thought that I read that they were changing/adding better ingredients...even though it was already a great food)....no?? |
