Donating YT 30K Club Member | Does anyone know if it would help me with Pixie. She wakes me up 3 times during the night for treats I guess or just because. I just got back from a 4 day trip to Az and my dtr watched them and she said Pixie drove he crazy all night waking her up. I ned to sleep through the night and ignoring her doesn't work she just keeps screaming and kicking her feet. I wonder if I get that and give her some at night she would sleep longer and relax. She is pretty high strung. I have tried bark repeller, spray bottle, trying to keep her awake in the evening, nothing has worked. If anyone has used it for helping them sleep please let me know. Thanks

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Lol, I was just joking when I asked, but I guess it might work. I read that you can get it a GNC, so I'm going to look for it.

i think she said her furbaby kicks her not lick her? very good advice though, thanks for the tip, i can be more firm with milu myself as well and not give in so much all the time. patti, maybe you can try to divert her attention away from food first. (if she doesn't have low blood sugar, if she needs to eat because of health reasons, then she maybe does need food) otherwise, if it's just a behavior problem, maybe you can take baby steps to stop feeding her during sleepy time at night. does she enjoy being pet? sometimes when milu wants something she cannot have, i will pet her, because she really enjoys that, and it calms her down.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I totally agree I have allowed this to happen. The problem was when my Pom was alive (RIP 2/09) she had Cushing's disease for the last 2 1/2 years and she needed to eat and go out during the night so Pixie got into the habit. I know the only way is to not give into her but I was hoping for a way to help me get her out of the habit.

Jackson sleeps perfectly fine from 10pm-7am every night at my normal house. When we visit and sleep over my dads (where he's been going at least once a week since 9 weeks old) he ALWAYS wakes up at least once in the middle of the night sometimes more to go "potty" which I KNOW he can hold. I think it's just all the ruckus, they have 2 dogs and 2 cats. It gets frustrating but I've found that when Jackson is totally tired... he will sleep through the entire night over there. For a dog like Jackson, that entails a 2 hour trip to the dog park beforehand full of running around and chasing, a brisk walk in the evening for only about 15 minutes, and a few run arounds the backyard with their 2 dogs. Then he is crashed for the night and wouldn't even think of waking up in the middle of the night.

Yes, actually that's what it's used to calm a stressful pet. That's why I use it for Buddy. It's safe and appears to make him more calm when I leave. | |
