| YT Addict | I'm actually having a similar problem with the yorkie female I just adopted on Tuesday. She hasn't been eating but the only difference is she will eat any treat you give to her right away. I know she knows where the food is as it's beside her water bowl and she drinks the water. I figured she's just settling in still and maybe unsure about the food, but it's the same food her previous owner fed her. :/

| YT Addict | Thanks Nancy! I don't feed her many treats, just the little tiny training ones a few times for training her on commands. That's about it. I'll stop this until she eats her real food, though

Donating Member | Lol, I feel so mean, I really recommend that healthy treats be used, yorkies seem to love frozen vegetables, and they don't seem to interfere with the appetite. Kroger make a small bag of frozen green beans that are only about a dollar, they're sliced fairly small, and thaw easily in microwave or hot water. Some dogs like them frozen, but Joey prefers them warm. Since frozen vegetables are precooked you don't have to worry about cooking them so dogs can easily digest them.
