How often do you feed your Yorkie??

I used to feed three times a day even though my vet had suggested twice a day, however, when Jake turned four I switched to twice. I feed kibble and soft food each time.

Fromm dry kibble is down for them 24/7 and they get moistened kibble w/ground turkey and vegs twice a day... 4 dogs.

Cody is 5 yo he gets fed 2 x's a day, 7AM and 5PM with a snack or treat in between. All my now passed girls were also fed twice a day at the above time.

Bella has dry kibble down 24/7, but I encourage her to eat first thing in the morning, when I get home from work in the afternoon, and just before bedtime. This is to prevent an empty stomach, which leads to vomiting up clear, but stinky, liquid.

How is your Yorkie doing now? Maybe she was depressed with the new doggie addition to your home, and maybe the medication for kennel cough is slowing her down. What medication is it?

Reducing the amount of food shouldn't have such a dramatic effect, unless you reduced it too much. Feed her the same number of times per day, but a little less. Watch the treats too.

I feed my little guy twice a day with a small treat here and there. He weighs about 8 lbs, but you can feel his ribs and spine. He is not underweight. I suppose this is the way their body is made up? This is my first yorkie, we rescued him and love him so much. Most awesome fella.
