Inconsistent Diahrrea Hi All, Kujo is 6 months & weighs 5Lbs. i have been feeding him Royal Canine & Cesar's dog food. I have given him cesar's constantly lately. Im not sure this is the best food. Do any of you guys have any feedback on this. About 2 weeks ago he had diahrrea for 2-3 days, so i took him to the vet and they said he had a form of worms. So they gave him all this medication and gave him fluids. Cost me $177.00. Well for the past 2 days he has diahrrea again. But whats weird is his behavior is normal. He still acting normal, hyper as always, just he has diahrrea. And at times during the day he will go to the bathroom and it will be normal, then he could have diahrrea the next 2-3 times. Could you guys please help me out.. Any suggestions, recommendations would be GREATLY appreciated.

He might need another round of the meds, but the inconsistency is a puzzle. Did you take in another stool sample after the meds were gone? Sometimes they need a second round. Also did you keep his poop cleaned up? hev might have become reinfested from his own poop. Cesar is not the best dog food. He should be getting kibble. That does seem like a terrible price for a fecal exam and deworming meds. You might want to call around and get prices.

i think it is the Casears- Royal Canine is a good kibble and his body might be having a hard time dealing with the bad food (cesars- really really not good food) I would stop that food and just stick with the Royal Canine.

it is never a good idea to do anything drastic food wise- so go slow like you are doing. This very well could NOT be the answer to his diarrhea but it will help in his overall health.

Try adding some canned pumpkin to his diet. This is GREAT for firming up diarrhea- should it just be an upset tummy thing (or food related thing) make sure it is 100% pumpkin and not the spiced stuff you put in pie. I always have this in the house just in case!
