| This issue drove me to switching vets, thus Maddie is still not spayed. The old vet would not give pain meds or even write a prescription. I live way out in the country so I had to look at vets near Knoxville which I was totally unfamilar with. After hours or calling and questioning, we found one that I love. We have went to be treated for dry eye, also dismissed by previous vet (thanks to LadyMom for helping me through that!), and an ear infection. He has been so great we are planning a spay soon. |

| UT is a little over an hour. However, her vet now is about 45-min to hour. I should've came here for suggestions on vets i guess, but had my blonde moment and was thinking I guess. LOL We have a great vet in Emory-Powell who refers to UT if needed. Thanks for the suggestion. I will keep it in mind! |

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | My Jersey Boy was neutered on Thursday and the vet sent us home with 3 doses of Metacam. He only used one the day after, he looked lijke he needed that day. The next day he was back to himself and no need for the last 2 doses. Does anyone know if the left over meds can be donated to a shelter? |

You might want to ask your vet if they do that.

| I would not give aspirin! It can be toxic and can also cause GI bleeds. I would suggest calling an EC although they might be hesitant to prescribe.
