| Cough and Gag PLEASE READ AND HELP my puppy is 18 weeks old. I got her and her sister from the same kennel. When we got her she didnt have this Cough and gag. Now she does. Its hardly ever during the day. maybe like 5 times but at night it gets bad when she is sleeping or taking a nap during the day. here is what is going on... she is coughing or wheezing really hard several times a day followed by this terrible gag at the end. Brief pause and then she will start again. She gets in a position like she is going potty almost whenever she is coughing and gagging, all hunched over-like. Does anyone know anything about this? Does the cold make it worse? Why does this happen at night? Why doesnt my other dog have it if its contagious. Could it be collapsed tranchea? Could it be Kennel Cough? Could it be allergies? I am taking her to the vet tomorrow we just dont have many good ones around here. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Hi, glad you are taking her to the vet, I don't have any idea what it is, but I would definitely want to check it out. Keep us updated, and good luck!

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | The sooner you start treatment the less costly because no hospital stay will be required if you catch something soon enough.
