| Has anyone tried feeding either Avoderm or Halo Has anyone tried either the Avoderm or the Halo dog foods before? Both brands have 4-star ratings. I was just trying to see what others thought of the brands if they've used them. If you've tried them what did or didn't you like about them. Thanks |

| Both of my male dogs flat out refused to eat the Avoderm. I guess they're not Avocado freaks. I have them on Wellness Super 5 Mix and am going back to Royal Canin #27. Baron's Vet thinks the Wellness is what gave Baron Pancreatitis. He had been on the RC for over a year. I wanted to change to a better grade food. I switched in May and he got sick in June. I started the switch today and hope that he does ok.

| love it! we have used the halo canned food on occasion when I am not homecooking... both of ours eat it right up. We like that you can see actual pieces of food in there (noodles, veggies etc. ) and that the ingredients very clear. It doesn't contain "meals" which most foods have at least one "meal" of some kind in it. If you sign up at their site they send you coupons too! |

| I switched Paco to Halo Spot's Stew (salmon) about 2 months ago, and he's doing great! He was suffering from dry itchy skin and dark eye discharge. Now his skin looks great, his coat is full and shiney and the eye discharge is a clear/white color. I've recently starting mixing his kibble with Halo canned food only at dinner time and he gobbles it all up.

| I tried Halo, but felt that it was a rip off. Those cans were really expensive and mostly gravy IMO. I tried Avoderm, but Lady couldn't tolerate it. Apparently avocados don't agree with her. She has a cast iron stomach, but it gave her diarrhea. Same thing happened to my mother's cat when she tried it. It's a good quality food so you could try it and see if your Yorkie tolerates it. |
