| Expired Dog Food? I have a bag of Innova EVO Red Meat that has an exp date of Sep 18 '09. I'm currently feeding CORE but will rotate to EVO next month (Oct). There is about one month's worth of EVO left. Just curious what you would normally do with expired food? Is it okay to feed after the exp date? |

| Usually, if I notice a food is going to expire soon I put it in the freezer until I get a chance to use it. In any case though, I would think a month over would be alright. The way I figure is that no one could possibly know the precise day something expires, so it's really just a guess on the date they list anyway. When you are dealing with a food that lasts around a year after manufacturing, I would think the date is give or take a month or two accurate. Personally I would smell it. If it still smells fresh to you it's probably okay. Also, not sure how "picky" or not your baby is, but Tucker usually lets me know if something isn't up to par by not eating it. Hopefully that helps Quote:
