| What about Taste of the Wild. I am thinking about trying it. We don't have much of a choice where I live. We are about 50 miles from any large city. I was going to try that but now I don't know. Mine are on Science Diet small bites right now and i'm sure its not good for them. I do and fresh veggies and chicken to their diets. This is just all so confusing,no one wants to feed their babies something that may harm them.

I do not think ANY dog food manufacturers can be trusted 100% now. It also says something to the effect that when they say they use "human grade" foods they can be lying. So depressing. I buy better rated foods because I trust what they say is true. For now I am going to just keep feeding Acana Prairie Harvest Provincial (also makes Orijen). Hopefully by buying from family run food plants that are supposed to be healthier will be ok. I do not use TOTW because it is made in Diamond Plants. Been there and done that with the food recalls.

Have you contacted the manufacturer? A lot of them will in fact send samples if you ask (and if you mention your situation - wanting to try the food but not having anywhere local to purchase it and such, you should definitely get samples.) | |
