| Innova - Recent formula change? Changing food to Acana now Max started his new bag of Innova 2 weeks ago. Since then he had had very soft runny stools and sometimes he is throwing up his food. I took all treats, bully sticks and Sam's yams out of his diet and it did not help. I think it is the food. I feed him Innova Small Bites in the green bag with the Yorkie on it. Picked up a trial size of Acana Prairie Harvest (made by the Orijen people). He has been eatting a mix of the 2 foods and his stools seem to be getting better. It has only been 2 days because I am slowly moving him over to the Acana now. Anyone else having any problems with the Innova? He seems to LOVE the Acana (34% protein & grain free). Barks for it at his food bowl-LOL Anyone feed Acana?????

| We just bought a new bag of Innova Small Bites and they seem fine... Nothing wrong with Orijen. Mine got porky on it. Loki does NOT like getting less kibble. He already doesn't think he gets enough |

| Max was fine with the last bag. He started with the problems after we opened the new bag Max really likes the Acana. I am afraid he will think he is not getting enough-LOL He keeps begging for more. I am in the smaller change over amount though (about 25% of his 1/4 C. per meal)

| We Love ACANA Hi! We switched to Acana in May (from Wellness) and we are really happy. Withing a few weeks I noticed that their coats were shinier. I switched my dog because my breeder highly recommended it, the ingredients are AMAZING and I love that it is amde Canada! Hope you are as happy as we are! |

| The Acana ingredients ARE amazing! I also like the 34% protein so it is not as high as EVO or Orijen (regular not Acana). Quote:

| I looked into Acana, let me know how Max does it on it. Jackson is still eating his Innova fine with no issues but I've had the bag now for a month.

| Wow, this is tripendicular...I was making a sales call, just today, to a customer that has a small dog boutique, and talking "dog food" w/her, and she mentioned Acana...I haven't really had any issues w/Innova, other than the fact that Apple doesn't care for it very much...I've started mixing about a teaspoon of organic yogurt in her breakfast and dinner...Apple's poopies are to die for lol...No, really, they're quite nice......However, if she were to like Acana, and it's as good as what my customer says it is, then I'm all over that...I like the 34% protein, instead of, like, 42%...I think if I didn't work, and Apple was doing training, tricks, or walking more than an hr. a day, it might be alright, but I don't think her (my) lifestyle warrants so much protein (as in 42%)...So what'sup w/the changing formula in Innova? I haven't heard about that, and inquiring minds want to know??? |

| In regards to the Innova, I only know Max ate his last bag fine and then 2 weeks ago we opened a new bag. He has had soft stools/runny & threw up his food a few times. Only since starting the new Innova bag and for the 2 weeks the bag has been opened. The Acana is awesome! I have never seen him beg for food! His stools are MUCH better now. Back to "Normal" in the 3 days he has been eatting the Acana. He has been picking out the Innova during the change over of his food so he is eatting mostly the Acana. The ingredients are so good ... Champion Petfoods | ACANA | Our Focus is Fresh Max just loves it! I love the lower protein and quality it seems to have. He is eatting the Prairie Harvest Provincial (All Breeds All Life Stages) http://www.championpetfoods.com/acan...rmulation=phfd

| PS- Their web site store locator did not have my state listed for carrying Acana. But it was at a local "whole foods" type pet food store that carries Orijen, EVO, Innova,... If you are looking for their food, you may need to call the stores in your area that carry Orijen. I was shocked to see it on the shelf when I went in to look for a food to feed him in place of the the Innova. It was stocked next to the Orijen.

| Bark and Fitz I don't know if this helps, but have you ever heard of the store Bark and Fitz--I think they are in the US too. That is where I buy my Acana. |

YT 2000 Club Member | I had my dogs on the innova small bites and after a week or so being on it, Tucker would throw up every single morning, I thought it was because he had an empty tummy and needed to eat??? Maybe it was the food??? Their poop was ok, they didnt care much for the food so i swtiched to something else. I have read the ingrediants of arcana and they do look awesome. They didnt have it any where in my area so I looked into something else. Good luck with your food search!!
