Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I thaw a bunch out on the counter (like 3 days or so worth), then keep in tupperware in the fridge and feed from that. You can either use just raw, or some people will feed kibble for one meal, raw for other (cheaper that way). My opinion is that the protein is great, these are carivnores, after all . Good luck and continue to ask questions if you need to!

| I actually use the patties as they seem to be more bang for my buck. But when I did medallians, I gave each one a medallian or 2 in the morning and at night. The recommended serving size seemed a bit much for my little guys so I cut it back a bit. For the patties, I blister pack all the patties individually and keep them in the freezer. The night before, I take out a pakage and put it in the fridge. It's thawed in the morning for breakfast. I warm them up for about 10 seconds, pull their serving apart with my fingers and serve. 1 patty lasts us about 2 days. I feed kibble one day, raw the next. Helps with cost. |

| I love the NV raw medallions. I divide a whole bag out at once into individual sandwich baggies (one baggie holds enough for breakfast for all five of mine), then put these baggies into a big ziploc freezer bag. I take the baggies out of the freezer 2 - 3 days at a time and put them in the fridge to thaw. I've chosen to feed raw for breakfast and free feed kibble the rest of the day - it just works better for my schedule & my pocketbook that way. I'd feed only raw if I could.

Therapy Dog Donating Member | I do the same...defrost a few for a couple days and keep in Tupperware and feed in PM. I do the NV kibble Prairie in the AM. The NV Instinct was too high protein for Cosmo as it made him drink tons of water and pee constantly (he is only 6 months old now and in potty training mode). Our vet said switch to lower protein and I loved the NV so much and switched to the Prairie which is also a perfect rotation diet too. Since switching to lower protein Cosmo has been not drinking as much water. His teeth and coat look amazing. I'm very happy with the NV. Oh NV medallions are lower in protein Primal that's why I'm sticking with the NV.
