| Allergies Bella is a little over a year and a half old. She's always had a little difficulty with allergies. She wines and paws at her nose, and runs it across the carpet over and over again. Last year she had some reverse sneezing/coughing spells which everyone but me and the vet thought was Kennel Cough. The vet gave her a steroid shot which helped for a while and stopped the fits she was having. Periodically she will still have reverse sneezes, but not with the intensity that she was having last year. Lately her nose has been bothering her more and more. I was wondering if anyone knew any good allergy remedies. I know humans can eat a tablespoon of local honey daily to help, but I didn't know if that was safe for dogs. I also considered a dose of benedryl, but I don't' know the proper dosing for her (she's 5.5 to 6 pounds). |

| Many times, "allergies" are due to what is in their food. In Zanders first year I switched him to Natures variety he started having reverse sneezing, very often. My vet was ready to medicate, I told him let me research this and I will get back to you. After doing some research I changed his food to another, it stopped. No meds so far, Zander is 3 yrs. old. Something to think about. Good luck.
