Yorkie Yakker | Penny still has 4 of her baby teeth :( I guess this is a common thing... My puppy, Penny, is nine months old now. My husband and I have noticed that all of her 4 canines are still attached. Her adult canines are out. We rushed her to the vet last week to see what our options were. Penny was spayed at 6 months (then, her adult teeth were not fully out). The vet gave me two options. First option was to put her to sleep and remove her baby teeth. Second option was wait until her routine teeth check up and remove them then. For now, we went with the second option since she doesn't have hard time eating and she isn't drooling. Just wanted to see what yorkie owners did who were in similar situation. Thanks!! P.S. What are some of your experiences like with professional dental cleaning?

| Funny you should post this today, as I just made a quick run down to the vet this morning to get him to yank out one of her baby canines that was hanging by a thread...She'd lost one of the bottom canines, already, but still has the top two baby and adult canines side by side...The vet told me not to worry about it 'till she was a year old, so I'm not going to worry about it...I am glad that 2 out of the 4 are out, because it's going to be less expensive, if there are fewer teeth to pull lol...Apple is almost 9 1/2 months old... |

We're going to wait too until she's a year old. For now, I'm brushing her teeth and giving her bully stix. I'm praying that they will fall out by themselves but they're not even moving. We'll see! I will be happy if even one will fall!
