| Floppy ears I have a 13 week old yorkie. Does anyone one have any advice to make her ears stand. I've done the ear trimming, ear taping (3 times) every three days for 3 weeks now, and i'm thinking of leaving it taped longer, but i dont know if thats a good idea. Dont get me wrong, we'll love her either way, shes a cutie, and she's got the best personality. She is our second one, and our first yorkie didnt have that problem. That's why it just irks me that her ears are having a hard time staying up. |

| She is a cutie!!!! Very, very cute!!!! When I got Luig, at 12 weeks, both ears were down, and my breeder told me that they will come up on thier own. And they did after a couple of weeks!!! And then 1 would go down and the other would be up for a few days. Then all of a sudden they would both be up and before you know it, the other would be down and the other up!!!! It was like they were switching!!! heheh!!! But at about 6 monthes, they were both up and I didn't do anything to get them up!!!! Now he is 1 yr old, and every so often, 1 will flop down and the next day they will be fine!!! It cracks me up. I would say to you--let them come up on their own--which will take some time. But I am not a breeder or anything like that--so maybe someone else may have some ideas, but that is mine!!!!

| I'm not a breeder either but have had one litter and I agree with the previous poster. 13 weeks is a little early to start worrying or taping I think. They will probably go up on their own

| Hi...your baby is a cutie! To get the ears to stand up you can shave the hair off of both sides of the ears and gently massage them from the base to the tip. My vet told me about this years ago and it worked great for our first Yorkie...I would massage them while he was laying on my lap in the evenings and it would put him to sleep. Good luck! |

| Both of my dogs ears went up on there own. They always flopped when they were teething but went back up on there own after that.

| Oh she is just darling! No worries, Reyna had one up and one down, then both up, then both down, for a while when she was a puppy...usually its while they are teething (so I read in all of my yorkie books..hehe). I never taped her ears...and they are perfectly perky now at 7 months. So I too say they will come up on their own and not to worry about the taping too much...She's waaaaaay to cute to be trotting around with that tape. |

| She is so cute. Gucci didnt had that problem , her ears were up when we got her. I read here that massaging the ears will help. I think she is still young and her ears can pop up on their own. Good luck. |

| She is just adorable! I shaved the top 1/3 of Yoda's ears and just massaged them alot and they stood on their own...even if they dont stand she is still a cutie!

Donating YT 14K Club Member | Oh, she's precious! Don't know what to tell you about the ears. Have a friend and one of her yorkies ears didn't stand up till she was 6 months old.
