| micro-chipped I recently had the micro-chip placed in my little girl. The needle was so big I felt so bad for her How many of you have placed the micro-chip in your dogs?

Thor's Human Donating Member | I have, though I haven't got a look at the needle. I know personally of several dogs who were recovered through the chip, so I am a big fan.

| All mine are microchipped, and babies are too before they leave my home. Better be safe than sorry! Yeah, its a monster needle but if it helps protect them....

| Mine is, but I had it done during her spay. In any case it's worth it. All of mine have been. I'm a believer. |

| I too am a believer....Never saw the needle as my vet did it when she was put under to have her 2nd set of teeth out. She has had no problems and I am glad its there. I too have heard a lot of happy endings due to a micro-chip Hugs Cheryl & Lexi |

| Toby had his done when he was neutered, and Lola will be having hers when she's spayed. I haven't seen the needle but they told me it was better to do it when they're under. Hope none of us ever have to use them but nice to know they're in place.

| every dog I have ever had has been chipped. you just run too big a risk without it. I did my little guy's during his neuter, but, even though the needle is huge (the chip is rice grain sized) they are good about doing it quick. Know you did the best for your furbaby.

| Gracie was micro chipped on her first vet visit. The vet took her in the back and did it so I did not see the needle but the vet said Gracie didn't even whimper, no reaction what so ever. I am a firm believer in having your pets microchipped!!!!!

| Scooter is chipped. It gives me peace of mind that should something go wrong, he can be returned to me. While it is not required here in Austin, it is required in a few places that we visit regularly. I held him while the vet did it and I didn't think the needle was too big. He didn't make a peep but he was very glad to get away from the vet and back to the comforts of home.

| Tinkerbell got hers when she went in for her shots. she didnt move when she got her regular shots. ( i was holding her and i HATE needles.. im so afraid of them ) but when the vet stuck her with the chip needle she jumped and ran to my husband as soon as the vet pulled out the needle.
