I don't use a tooth brush - instead I wrap a piece of gauze around my index finger and use that to "brush" their teeth. My girls both hate anything in their mouth, but they will tolerate my finger. And I can feel each and every tooth, inside and out and get all the way to the back. My girls eat a freeze-dried raw diet also.

| We have been using pet kiss products and love them. They are all natural and neither one of our dogs have had any problems with it. They have a spray for the teeth if your dog won't drink the water. Good luck! All Natural Pet Products: Dog Treats - Pet Breath Freshener - Pet Dental Care - Pet Supplements |

| My girls must have really sensitive mouths as even a very soft finger brush made their gums bleed - probably why they hated any type of toothbrush. Yes, the gauze does a great job at effective "brushing". You can wipe back and forth and up and down pretty easily and for whatever reason, this is okay versus trying to use anything else.

| I don't know since this was from the day I got them both. My vet actually recommended using the gauze and it has worked great. My vet now comments on how fabulous their teeth look when I take them in for a check-up.

Awesome! Thanks! I'm going to give this a try! I tried brushing Sasha's teeth once with a finger toothbrush and she wasn't having it at all. I don't think she'd mind a piece of gauze...hopefully. Thanks again! | |

| I bought a box of "gloves" that are made of very thin latex. The index finger has soft bristles on it. I cut the index finger on the glove off so I would be able to use it on either hand, and Prince has no problem with it at all. It's just like having only your finger.

| I swear by Plaque Off as it cleaned my dogs back teeth which were yellow with thick plaque. It took a few weeks and they were white as can be---was really shocked that it worked that good! I put mine in a little cottage cheese and mix with there kibble or I break up baby food little chicken strips with it in and mix with there kibble. Just enough smell of something they like and something I can break apart to mix it in.
