| How in the world can I get her to take the fish oil? Folks, I have been trying to get my baby to take fish oil, but outside of forcing her mouth open and squirting it in with the eye dropper, nothing works. I put it on her food and she will let it sit until I empty it and put new food in the bowl. How are you all doing it? Thanks |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I feed raw, so I mix it in w/ their food. Hmmm....okay, what about taking a small square of bread, putting the oil on it, folding the bread over into a little ball....maybe even put some Peanut Butter on the outside of the bread? I swear, w/ PB, I can get these stinkers to eat anything!

| Hey tell me exactly what kind of fish oil are you using? How many milligrams and did you get it at a pharmacy? Does it have to be for animals?

http://www.1800petmeds.com/Lipiderm-prod2713.html The local pet store didn't have the ark naturals alot of folks use, but he recommended this and I read some stuff online and it seemed to be comparable. For her weight (5lbs) it recommends 1/2tsp per day. I am going to try the peanut butter I wasn't sure bread was good for them? Thanks all | |

| I have been using Arks Naturals Royal Coat Express for two weeks and can already see a big difference in Lacey's coat. I started out putting the oil on a piece of bread and balling it up. But she will now take it with a spoon. The dosage is located on the bottle (it goes by their weight). |

If you want to avoid the wheat, just give white bread instead.

| I gave Chloe her first dose of heart worm medication a couple of days ago and I did not want to have to try to force feed her a chewable tablet. So I crushed the tablet up in a ziploc baggie and then mixed it in with a small spoonful of plain yogurt. That stuff went down Chloe's throat so fast I don't think she even tasted it. It was really quick and simple; much less stressful for both of us than forcing her to take the pill! And I didn't have to waste any! -C

| Oh, forgot to mention you can get the Arks Natural from yorkietalk member "AMD". She also sells the best bullysticks. I just placed another order with her. |

| Okay, I have to ask. What is fish oil, and what are you using it for? Sounds really yucky!

YT 500 Club Member | I always just put Meg's fish oil on a spoon and she licks it off. She loves it. We use Nordic Naturals Pet Cod Liver Oil (liquid). Nordic Naturals Pet Products

| The fish oil is used for their coat and skin. I've found the fish oil helped alot with my furbabies dry skin during the winter. I've been using Grizzly Salmon Oil. Usually I give half pump mixed with peanut butter. I'm planning to switch to Arks Natural as that also contains Vitamin E.
