| Teeth not in Hi there, I'm new to this Chat and also New to Yorkies. I just got my baby 2 days ago and took her to the vet today. she was normal and healthy in every way, except her teeth are not in all the way, shes 10 weeks and the vet said they should come all the way in between 4-8 weeks. Is this uncommon? Also shes 3lb 3 oz, and estimate on Adult weight?

| First off...Hi! Did your vet say anything more? Anything to watch for or to be concerned about? Could it be that your breeder misinformed you of the actual age? There is a Health forum, you might try posting there and see if anyone can help.

| We got Paisley at 8 weeks. When we got her all of her teeth were not in either. I was concerned, and asked the vet. He said that normally they are all in, but just as with children, some can take a little longer. I had also been concerned that maybe she wasn't as old as the breeder said, but he did not think that was the issue. He told us not to worry about it. Paisley is now 7 months old (almost 8) and has all her teeth and is normal as can be.

| Paco's teeth took a while to fall out ... his two fangs never came out so the vet had to remove them. But don't worry just give him a lot of chew toys to help them loose.

| My Vet thought she was probably 10 weeks, and not to worry about the teeth that they would probably come in in a few weeks and to give her alot of chewing toys, Abby's Breeder wanted to sell her to me at 8 weeks, but I said no and asked if I put a deposit down is she would keep her with her Dam and Sire till she was 12weeks, she said she would keep her, but not past 10 weeks as she was expecting another little with her Doxies, and it was the Doxies first litter so she she would need more attention. I Breed Maltese myself, and I never sold them before 12 weeks, I could hardly bear to let them go.........lol, she seems to be doing fine and Abby has so far been a pure delight!

| All yorkies have baby teeth....they loose the baby teeth and the adult teeth are all in uusually about 6-9 months old....some yorkies retain their baby teeth and those teeth need to be extracted for the adult teeth to come in proper. Mary |
