| He threw up on my bed! My roommate's little pom just threw up on my bed and ate it! A little background: he's around 8 years old (a rescue), and he has back problems; to the best of my undestanding it seems he has a spinal disk that is shrinking due to wear and tear, which to me doesn't sound normal. My roommate asked last night if he has been throwing up lately because the last time he was feeling really bad due to his back that was one of his symptoms. My roommate has decided that he is not allowed to up and down stairs, or jump up on any furniture. Has anyone heard about or experienced something similar? Is there anything else we can do to make him comfortable? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

| I would get the okay from a vet but Ive given a half of a baby asprin for pain before. You could give that to him for his back or pepto for the stomach problems. I would get an okay from a vet though. Mine are 4 and occasionally have an off day and vomit. Its usually only once though. If a dog repeatedly vomits they need to be seen by the vet

| He doesn't seem to be in any pain. But she did mention that they don't go out for long walks anymore, he tires quickly and just lays down whenever she stops walking. She thinks his throwing up is associated with his back problems. The last time his back was so bad he didn't even try to walk, his throwing up got pretty bad too. So now that his back is acting up again, he seems to be throwing up again. I think he threw up 2 days ago (the carpet was moist) but I'm not sure since he has a tendency to eat it. I don't understand how the 2 things could be associated??

| Thanks Chachi! That makes sense. I guess all I can do now is wait for her to come home from work, and wait for the little guy to wake up to wash my sheets.... eww!

| I'm not sure, but I think he went to see the vet this weekend. I'll make sure to tell her anyway, it doesn't hurt to have him seen again right? At least for now he seems fine, but we're both limiting his activity.
