| More Questions About Benadryl So that post a few down re:benadryl gave a lot of good info., and I get the only active ingredient should be Diphenhydramine HCI 12.5 mg...But what about the inactive ingredients like the following: citric acid D&C red no 33, FD&C red no.40, flavor, glycerin, high fructose corn syrup, poloxamer 407, purified water, sodium benzoate, sodium chloride, sodium citrate, sorbitol...My main concern is the food coloring and sorbitol, and poloxamer 407 (what is that?)...Anyone know the safety of these inactive ingredients, or are they in such small amounts it's not significant? Thanks... |

| I would really consult with your vet before giving anything to your pets!

| The sorbitol is fine. Not sure on the dye. A lot of people use dye free, but doesn't that contain alcohol? We just use the one with the dye and it has been fine.
