| I take Zeus to Banfield and he is on the wellness plan. I love the vets we have and I have saved so much money. I never had any problems! |

| Well I decided against Banfield when they charged me 200 for a fecal exam and a parvo test (which I knew the parvo test was unnecessary) and that was after I declined the 150 blood test the vet was pushing for. A private vet in my area would have been cheaper even after the discounts and free office visit. So I set up a savings account and just have money put aside in case he gets sick again.

| yeah, on another thread someone was cheering about the $600 they got back over the year for their 2 dogs on an insurance plan that they pay $840 a year for. It doesn't make financial sense to spend thousands on insurance plans when if you put that money in the bank and made it work for you (with interest) you would in most cases come out on top. They also slammed me saying all insurance is this way: yes. It is. You pay and pay and pay and occasionally they come up with a little. I have to have car insurance, liability could run to the hundreds of thousands...I have to have medical insurance for my family for the same reason....but vet care doesn't usually run to the tens of thousands, even in emergency situations so, how does it make any financial sense? Insurance and these wellness plans only work for the company because they GET more money than it costs them. Period.

| I use to work at a Banfield. Hated it. I would never take my pets there..I didn't take Peanut there when I worked there. I don't like them..I know all the Banfields have different Dr.s but they are still BANFIELD!!
