flea and tick meds I have used Frontine on my 10-month Yorkie with horrible results. The first time she started shrieking, crying and rubbing herself all over her bed and the carpet. I tossed her right into the sink. Spoke to the vet who said not to use it again. She suggested I try Revolution. Used it yesterday and thought I was home-free when she seemed fine but after about 3 minutes, she began rolling all over at top speed trying to get it off her. Again we tossed her into the sink. Now I have no idea what to use on her. My vet did mention a chewable that only protects against fleas. I have to assume it is Comfortis. From what I have read on this site, I really don't want her to have that - also,we are having a major flea and tick problem in NJ this year. Let me add that I have a Biewer who is the same age an 4-pounds and he is not having any problem with Frontline. After 4 dogs, this is a first for me. Any suggestions out there before I call the vet. I am researching, but so far no answers .

Hi Seastheday; I'm new to Yorkie Forum! I wanted to respond regarding a natural flea control. I use diatomaceous earth. It is an all natural product without any side affects when used properly, providing you use the food grade product. In fact I put a little on Luca (my yorkie) this morning. I also sprinkle a little on his bedding and any other area he sleeps. You can google diatomaceous earth for more information. There are plenty of websites, but I would stick with the holistic ones. Good luck and I hope you try it. Cheers

Signed in, posted a reply, don't know where it went, so: YouTube, Dr. Karen Becker (veterinarian) A Safe and Natural Pest Repellent for Pets. Many informative videos there.
