Brushing your yorkies teeth

About a week ago I started brushing Polo's teeth. I use a small baby toothbrush and I use this toothpaste. Amazon.com: Petrodex 51106 Enzymatic Toothpaste... Polo loves the flavor of this toothpaste so much that I can brush all of his teeth without him fussing to get away. It took Polo about a week to get use to this(then again he is 1) and he does a lot better then before. When I say Polo want to brush your teeth he wags his tail and gets all excited. I would not recommend getting mint flavor toothpaste (unless you don't have a picky dog) at first I purchased the mint kind at Petco. Polo hated it was like wrestling an alligator to get in his mouth. I would recommend Poultry flavored toothpaste that's what Polo has and he loves. Oh and I also always give him a small treat (chicken) once he is done! I try to brush his teeth every night. Did you know by the age of three 80% of dogs have dental problems

I am definitely going to try the products you use!! My Bella has stinky breath, and I give her all types of "dental chews"..no luck. I brush her teeth pretty often too and I use a spray, but it seems to still have a smell. I guess it's from her food (Innova), at least that is what the vet said. It smells A LOT better than it did when I first started her on Innova, but it's probably just because I have been brushing her teeth a lot more! :-)

which flavor is the best from Honest Kitchen food; my dog is very picky eater and she ended up in the hospital by not eating and throwing up. is this a really good food; would you say almost like homecooked food. thanks
