| Dog food brand I was wondering about California Natural dog food... I am using that and have been for over a year, it is the only food I have found that Pixie doesnt get sick from, but only the chicken and rice meal. Anyhow I havent found anything bad about it but just wanted to see everyones opinions. thanks

| It's a good food. If that's the only thing that doesn't make Pixie sick, then I would definitely continue feeding it. It's a nice brand. |

| I've heard nothing but good things about CN. And Jackson eats Innova, made by the same company.

| I've never used CN, but I've heard all good things about it. It's made by an excellent company. If it works, I'd keep feeding it.

| CN is a good food. A bit low in protein but if it works, stick with it.

| Ok another question... should I supplement with something else... she doesnt like vegetables at all. Also Zsa Zsa was eating Science Diet (from the breeder) and she got a few pieces out of Pixies bowl and now she doesnt want her own food... I know that I can gradually mix the food and give her the kind she wants but when I mix it she is only eating the new kind? Is this bad?

Science diet is a very low quality food, so I would suggest you switch her over to CN natural anyway. It is best if she would switch gradually, but it's alright if she quits eating the SD all together as long as her stomach can handle it. | |

| I too feed CN. Maddie does great with it. I had trouble finding something she could eat, so I did a TON of research on food brands and companies. CN is made by a great company who also makes other great foods. Stick with it!!! |

| I know that you want to mix her up for your baby so she doesn't get bored but stick to that food. What you can do to complement her diet is to give her things like baby carrots, seedless watermelon. My Sasha loves both! I also give her real chicken breast treats (quality stuff though, no bt products, hormones or preservatives) hopes it helps

| slowly switching is the best way, BUT if all she will eat is the CN now that she has tasted the goodness (hehe) then just completely switch her. She will probably have an upset tummy for a few days and it may give her runny poo until her system adjusts to the new food, but it will pass. CN is such a good food. I used to feed my guys that and we may be switching back to it soon!

| CN Duck and Potato has just undergone a change. The duck meal has now been replace by real duck because the company says that it didn't want to go outside of the US to look for duck meal. Because of the higher quality of protein they have upped the potato content. I belong to a forum for EPI dogs (which is what Cocoa has) and quite a few of the dogs are having an issue with it. EPI dogs do not tolerate a high % of carbs. Cocoa is having problems with CN so I'm gradually weaning her back to EVO. CN Duck and Potato has been one of the foods that EPI dogs can tolerate. Too bad this has happened.

| California Natural is a good food. If you want to supplement with anything, I would supplement a little meat for for a little extra protein. |
